Business Intelligence (BI) systems have become critical strategic tools for organizations seeking to improve decision-making, operational efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage. By transforming large volumes of organizational data into actionable insights, BI systems enable managers to make evidence-based decisions, monitor performance, identify emerging opportunities, and respond effectively to changing market conditions. The increasing availability of big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics has significantly enhanced the capabilities of modern BI systems. This study examines the role of Business Intelligence systems in improving organizational performance by exploring their components, applications, benefits, challenges, and strategic implications. Using a narrative review methodology, the study synthesizes findings from academic literature, industry reports, and organizational case studies. Results indicate that organizations with mature BI capabilities achieve higher operational efficiency, improved financial performance, enhanced customer satisfaction, and greater organizational agility. The study concludes that successful BI implementation requires technological readiness, data governance, leadership commitment, and a data-driven organizational culture.
