Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed logistics and supply chain management worldwide. Among these technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as a revolutionary innovation capable of enhancing visibility, efficiency, automation, and decision-making throughout logistics operations. IoT enables interconnected devices, sensors, vehicles, and systems to communicate and exchange real-time data, thereby optimizing transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and last-mile delivery processes. This study examines the applications of IoT in logistics management, evaluates its benefits and challenges, and proposes a conceptual framework for successful implementation. The findings reveal that IoT contributes significantly to operational efficiency, cost reduction, supply chain visibility, customer satisfaction, and sustainability. However, concerns regarding cybersecurity, infrastructure costs, interoperability, and data management remain significant barriers. The study concludes that organizations adopting IoT technologies strategically can achieve substantial competitive advantages in modern logistics environments.
