Abstract

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have become critical technological infrastructures that integrate organizational processes, improve information flow, and enhance operational efficiency. As businesses increasingly operate in dynamic and data-driven environments, ERP systems facilitate real-time decision-making, process standardization, resource optimization, and strategic planning. This study examines the relationship between Enterprise Resource Planning systems and business efficiency by reviewing contemporary literature, implementation practices, benefits, challenges, and emerging trends. The analysis demonstrates that ERP systems significantly improve organizational productivity, reduce operational costs, enhance collaboration, and support digital transformation initiatives. The study further explores the integration of ERP systems with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and advanced analytics. Findings indicate that successful ERP implementation contributes substantially to organizational agility, competitiveness, and sustainable growth. However, implementation complexity, high costs, resistance to change, and cybersecurity concerns remain significant challenges. The paper concludes that ERP systems continue to be fundamental drivers of business efficiency and organizational performance in the digital era.
