The journal follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the Declaration of Helsinki regarding informed consent and the ethical handling of participant information.

Informed Consent Requirements

Authors must obtain written informed consent from all participants before conducting research involving human subjects. For studies involving case reports, clinical photographs, videos, or any identifiable personal information, explicit consent for publication must also be obtained from the participant or their legally authorized representative.

Confidentiality and Privacy

The data and information of individuals, including information obtained through the doctor–patient relationship, must be handled with the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion. Personal identifiers should not be disclosed unless they are scientifically essential and written permission for publication has been obtained. Every effort should be made to protect participant privacy and maintain confidentiality throughout the research and publication process.

Editorial Responsibility

Authors must state within the manuscript that informed consent was obtained where applicable. The Editorial Office may request documentation to verify compliance during the editorial or peer-review process. The journal reserves the right to reject any manuscript that fails to meet informed consent requirements or does not adequately protect the privacy and confidentiality of research participants in accordance with COPE and ICMJE guidance.
